CHRISTOPH WUNDRAK, born in 1958 in Styria/Judenburg, spent the first 22 years of his life in Salzburg-City. There he got his first musical education (recorder, guitar, trumpet), finished his A-levels in 1977 and made his first steps in playing and writing music (approximatley since 1975). Until 1982 he was a „convinced“ amateur musician, studying biology and working in the printing-office of an Austrian newspaper.
1982 he finally made up his mind to become a professional musician and started to study trumpet at the University of music in Graz; Graduation in 1990: Diploma.
Since 1984 cooperation with Bernd Luef (Mirror; B. Luef-Quintett – Septett);
Vereinigte Bühnen Graz and his own Jazz-Ensembles (f.ex. with Alan Praskin).
In 1990
foundation of his own hornplayers-ensemble Smart
Metal Hornets. 
In 1990/91 Teacher at the Prayer-conservatory (Vienna) and in 1991/92 at the music-school of Gleisdorf/Styria.
Since 1992 compositions and arrangements on demand for different instrumentations (mainly for brass-ensembles), as well as compositions for theatre plays and satirical revues in Austria and Germany. In this time he also added new Instruments: Euphonium and Tuba.
In the 1990ies he was playing with his own trio SMH and also with different ensembles in Austria and abroad: Jazztett Forum Graz (B. Luef), Leo Lukas („The Aboriginal Flyin’ Borsinis“), Irene S. (NaCl, Quintessenz), „Mo“ Better Blues & the Hornets, „The Blue Angles“, „Budowitz“ (klezmer),... and as musician in theatres (Graz, Innsbruck).

Since 2006 he is foundation-member of Charlie&the Kaischlabuam(styrian Dialect-Blues Combo) Since 2009 intensive cooperation again with the great styrian Kabarettist/Musician Leo Lukas('Aus dem Vollen, Perry Rhodan) Different composition-orders, also for symphonic orchestra (mittelsächsische Philharmonie + P&P)
Christoph Wundrak lives as free-lance musician, composer, arranger and music teacher in St. Marein b. Graz/Eastern-Styria, Austria.
